Savory Cycle 2016
Sunday, September 25, 9am
Kentucky and specifically the central Kentucky Bluegrass Region are littered with various organized bicycle rides. Our goal is to create an experience where you enjoy the freedom of the bicycle, the beauty of the bluegrass, and the bounty of our farmers; all while witnessing the skills and knowledge of some of Kentucky’s most talented chefs.
It’s a bike ride that features unique pit stops at various restaurants, distilleries, and horse farms for you to eat and drink some of the best food in the region. Think of it as a progressive day of eating across the bluegrass.
There are two rides, ranging from 25 miles and 65 miles (the edible metric century, 100 km). Have a friend that doesn’t want to ride? Worry not: there is a dinner-only ticket option for the finale, which will feature music, dinner, and good times.
To celebrate the thriving local food and beverage culture in central Kentucky, to contribute to the vibrant cycling community, and to raise awareness and money for Broke Spoke Community Bike Shop.
